My Work

Through my leadership and collaborative efforts, I guide individuals and groups to delve into human nature, personal relationships, and artistic expression. These explorations culminate in performances and presentations that highlight their skills in the creative arts.

Playwriting Workshop (March 6 - May 11 2024)

Tammarrah facilitated a six-week workshop in partnership with the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) aimed at helping twelve playwrights appreciate the construction of plays and the decisions behind their creation. Participants were immersed in dramatic techniques emphasizing action, conflict, characters, and dialogue, leading them to write and present their own 5 to 10-minute plays, deepening their understanding of human nature and personal relationships.

Women Veteran Show - The White House (March 14, 2024)

Tammarrah was privileged to be one of twelve creatives selected to perform at the White House, in collaboration with the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) for this year's Women's History Month. This event celebrated and highlighted the contributions of women veterans in the arts, showcasing their unique talents and stories.

Teaching with Intentionality to: Enlighten, Engage, and Empowerment (Feb 24 - 25, 2024)

Tammarrah's "Teaching with Intentionality" program focused on enlightening, engaging, and empowering 55 teaching artists to teach other creatives by exploring strategies and concepts that foster enlightenment, engagement, and empowerment. This initiative was aimed at enriching the teaching of creative individuals, thereby cultivating a comprehensive social and emotional learning environment that enhances the overall educational experience.

DC Creative Writing Grad Show (Dec 4, 2023)

 

Conducted a successful three part series of workshops "The Most Epic Writing Class Ever," a three six-week courses that concluded with inspiring performances by the participants. Each session was crafted to harness and highlight the creative talents of 10 writers, ranging from novices to experienced authors. The courses, held on November 9, 2022, May 17, 2023, and November 2, 2023, encouraged writers to draw from daily life and unique encounters as sources of inspiration. Participants explored diverse artistic expressions—including quilting, dance, and spoken word—to develop their narratives and share their work. Hosted by ASAP, these classes aimed to empower each writer, fostering a supportive environment where they could showcase their skills and inspire the next generation of writers.
