As a veteran, educator, and recognized teaching artist on the Virginia Commission for the Arts roster, I have developed an educational program, CreatingMe Method© Finding my Voice and Place. This program inspires those whose voices have been silenced or missing from the conversation to express themselves by giving them the tools and platform to be recognized, all while being Unbossed and Unapologetic. Participants will use the resident’s poet works to facilitate thinking and unearth their life’s passions and purposes as they possess and project their most authentic voice. This transformational program is open to Group Homes, Women Organizations, Veteran Services, Prisons, Senior Citizens programs, Hospitals, and School Systems.
